Here’s how to ace your Skype interview

Hunting a good job is task these days and its requires more than a perfect resume. In order to save time many of the companies organise Skype interview. However, most of the job seekers are not that comfortable in answering the questions and often feel awkward. First impression is the last impression
Ahead of the Skype interview make sure that you are in proper surroundings. Along with this, just ensure that your Skype profile represents professional personality. Once all this is in place, then you are ready for the call. Just make sure that you close all the programs that are not required for the interview. Moreover, keep all the links handy so that you can drop them in the chat whenever required. Also just before the video call, set your status as Do not disturb, so you don’t get any IMs or calls.




Check the technical settings
The users have to ensure that all the Skype settings are in place, so that there is no problem during the interview. Check that the audio and video are working properly. You can do these tasks from the Skype Options window by selecting Tools > Options.

On the other hand it is most likely that the person interviewing you isn’t one of your current contacts, you need to make sure you can receive their call and IMs. In the Options window, click Privacy and under Privacy settings, select the anyone radio button for all options:



Apart from this, Add a Skype contact me button to your email signature. Or you can type text, such as Call me on Skype. Next, select the Skype image or text, right-click, and select Link.
