IPL fans, Reliance Jio has a 'gift' for you!!!

For the next two months, cricket fever will grip the country as the Indian Premier League is set to begin on April 7. To cash in on the cricket craze, telecom operator Reliance Jio has launched a special pack for the Indian telecom market. Called the Cricket Season Pack, this offer includes 102GB data for a period of 51 days (daily FUP unspecified) and costs Rs 251. This brings the average of per day data to 2GB.

In a statement, Reliance Jio said, "This is a first of its kind cricket pack launched by a network that is made for video and can enable millions of people to watch what they love, where they wish."
The telco has also launched a game called the Jio Cricket Play Along as well as a new feature in the Jio app called the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan LIVE to watch live matches during IPL. This feature can be used by both Jio subscribers as well as non-Jio users, the company specified in a statement. As for the game, not much has been revealed about it but so far, we know that it is going to be available to smartphone users in 11 Indian languages.

This is going to be the 11th season of the Indian Premier League to be held from April 7-May 31 across nine cities. The competing teams are going to be Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Just last week, Reliance Jio extended its Prime Membership for its existing users for free. Jio announced that all the existing Jio Prime members will get another year of complimentary Prime benefits for no additional fee. As of now, Reliance Jio offers plans starting from Rs 19 and goes up to Rs 9,999. Apart from the 2GB per day data plan announced today, users can also choose from Rs 198 plan (validity of 28 days), Rs 398 plan (validity of 70 days), Rs 448 plan (validity of 84 days) and Rs 498 plan (validity of 91 days) for the same daily data of 2GB.
