Google Tasks app launched: 5 things to know

Google has done a major revamp of its Gmail service. Touted as one of the biggest updates since 2013, this revamp includes a lot of new features.

As part of the update, Google has also launched a new app called Google Tasks. Wonder what new this Google app has to offer? Here are five things to know about Google Tasks:

How the app worksGoogle Tasks app is as basic as it gets. Users can simply add tasks by tapping on the Home screen. They can add details and schedule the time for completing the task as well. The app lets users create multiple lists which can be re-ordered manually.

Easy access from new Gmail

Google has integrated Tasks with Gmail. Users can now simply drag email to the Tasks section to create a new to-do list based on emails.

Add tasks from multiple Gmail accounts
Users can add more than one Google account to use this app, which can easily be accessed by switching accounts.

Available on both iOS and App StoreThe Google Task app is available on both iOS and Google Play Store for users to download.

LimitationsBeing a pretty simple app, this app doesn't allow you to do a couple of things that may be considered important. For instance, Google Tasks app doesn't allow you to share tasks with other users. Also, it doesn't automatically sort the To-Do lists chronologically.
