Huawei launches P20 Pro: world's first triple camera phone at Rs 64,999; P20 Lite launched at Rs 19,999

Huawei has just launched its flagship smartphone of the year, the P20 Pro in India. The handset has been launched alongside the P20 Lite. For those unaware, the P20 Pro was launched in February during MWC 2018 conference however, there was no mention of the Huawei P20 Lite.

The Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite are priced at Rs 64,999 and Rs 19,999 and will be made available starting today exclusively from Amazon India. The handsets will be available starting May 3rd.

Huawei P20 Pro specifications
Huawei P20 Pro, being the flagship smartphone, comes with high-end specifications. The Android 8.1 Oreo-based smartphone runs EMUI 8.1. It also has a 6.1-inch near bezel-less, full HD+ OLED display along with a ‘Notch’ at the top that includes the sensors, receiver and the front-facing camera. At the chin of the smartphone, there is a fingerprint sensor as well.

The camera is the most highlighted feature of the Huawei P20 Pro. The smartphone is the company’s first to feature triple rear cameras. The setup includes a 20MP monochrome sensor with f/1.6 aperture, 40MP RGB camera with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. The device can even record slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second. Selfie lovers get a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Powered by octa-core Kirin 970 processor, the P20 Pro supports 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. It also has a 4000mAh battery and supports fast charging.

Huawei P20 Lite specifications
Huawei P20 Lite runs on the same EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Sporting a smaller 5.8-inch TFT LCD display, the handset supports a screen resolution of full HD+. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 659 processor and has 4GB of RAM along with 64GB inbuilt storage. The device also supports microSD card of up to 256GB.

Unlike the P20 Pro, the P20 Lite has dual rear cameras that include a 16MP and a 2MP sensors at f/2.2 aperture. At the front there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery, which supports fast charging as well.
