Honor 10 launched in China: Price, specifications and more


Huawei's sub-brand Honor has launched its latest flagship smartphone Honor 10 at an event in China today. The global launch of the device is expected to be on May 15 at an event in London. From the specs, the handset can be considered as the budget version of the recently-launched Huawei P20 Pro.


Price of Honor 10The Honor 10 comes at a starting price of CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 27,225) for 6GB RAM variant paired with 64GB inbuilt storage. The other variant that packs in 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage costs CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 31,416). Both variants come in Black, Teal, and Twilight colour variants. Registrations for the first sale of the Honor 10 in China commence today, after which, the handset will be available as part of a flash sale on April 27 via vMall, Tmall, Suning, and some other stores in China.







Specifications of Honor 10Honor 10 has a 5.84-inch LCD FHD+ display of 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio. Powered by the Kirin 970 processor same as the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, it comes in two storage options -- 6GB RAM+64GB ROM and 8GB RAM+128GB ROM.
The Honor 10 features a dual rear camera setup comprising of 24-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 16-megapixel secondary camera with the same f/1.8 aperture. The camera boasts of artificial intelligence features and can support 4K video recording with the back camera and a full HD video with the smartphone's 24-megapixel front-facing shooter with an a f/2.0 aperture. The camera app comes with various modes such as AR mode, portrait mode, ‘3D Creative Shooting’, panorama mode, etc.

Backed by a 3400mAh battery, the Honor 10 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Huawei’s Emotion UI 8.1 skin on the top. Security features include facial recognition and fingerprint scanner as well. In terms of connectivity, the phone has a dual-SIM 4G VoLTE slots along with USB Type-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities.
