Moto G6 Play images posted on Instagram with specs

NEW DELHI: Motorola has not yet revealed anything about the upcoming Moto G6 or the G6 Play, the devices that were expected to arrive earlier this year at the MWC 2018 conference. However, what it has revealed is that the smartphone(s) will be arriving in Brazil on April 19, the same day as the Honor View 10 China launch. But as it happens every time, both G6 and G6 Play have been a subject to several leaks and rumours. The newest leak comes in the form of three images on Instagram by a user. The handset shown in the images is the ‘Moto G6 Play’.

As it has been reported before, the Moto G6 Play looks a lot like the Moto X4 in terms of design. There is an 18:9 aspect ratio display and the identical looking rear camera design. The back panel seems to sport a glass design and the fingerprint sensor could be placed right on the 'M' logo at the back.

The description of the post and the specifications mentioned on the screen cover also reveal the Moto G6 Play to sport a 5.7-inch HD+ ‘Tele max Vision’ display. It will be powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM. The device will also be sporting a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front camera and will be backed by a 4000mAh battery with TurboPower charging tech. Dual-SIM card support with 32GB inbuilt storage is also likely to come on board.

All these specs are in line with what previous leaks and rumours have indicated, further confirming their arrival.

On a related note, Moto G6 was also seen listed on Amazon Canada website without an image. However, the specifications were mentioned in detail. According to the listing page, the smartphone sports a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There is a dual rear camera setup (12MP + 5MP), 16MP front camera, an octa-core processor, 32GB in-built storage and 3000mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging support.
